We’re celebrating two birthdays on May 12, 2017 and you’re invited! Firstly, to mark Canada’s 150th, we are unveiling a special birthday “gift” to our valued visitors. The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada has partnered with the Canada Aviation & Space Museum in Ottawa to take your museum experience into the digital age! You will now be able to go in-depth with the compelling stories of aviation history via your hand-held device. This new digital interactive, audio/visual guide draws you into the adventure – starting with a brand-new exhibit of James A. Richardson’s dream to develop an airline industry and then takes you on a compelling journey featuring the aircraft that showcases Canada’s innovation and pioneering spirit.
James A. Richardson was a proud Manitoban and considered to be the “Father of Commercial Aviation in Canada.” His story spans our great country and you will be drawn into it with a full account of his venture and adventure, digitally. This new program and exhibit will be open to the public on Manitoba Day, May 12th.
Visit us at any time during regular hours Monday through Friday: 9:30 am – 4:30 pm, Saturdays: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, or Sundays: 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Regular admission rates apply, but if you want to get in on the best value-for-money deal, purchase a membership and you will get free admission for 12 months of the year, on any day and to any event the museum offers. See you then!
