Our Mission: To preserve, promote and present Canada’s aviation heritage.
The Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada tells the remarkable story of the legends of Canadian aviation… a tribute to the men and women who explored this vast country despite the hardships of weather, the uncertainty of the equipment and, in many cases, the complete lack of maps, compasses or radios.
It’s a story of adventure and innovation that was born in the bush, in Canada’s north, and centered around Winnipeg.
It’s a museum.
It’s a community meeting place.
It’s a learning centre.
It’s a focal point for aviation enthusiasts and an outstanding attraction for families.
It’s a tribute to pilots and engineers… and an inspiration to dreamers.
Throughout our history, we’ve raised or earned 90% of our operating expenses through business and fundraising activities. Only 10% of our funding comes from public sources.
We thank you for your support.
