2026 Summer Education Programs

The Royal Aviation Museum is pleased to offer the following programs for summer 2026. (July -August)
These are available for Day Cares, Camps, Homeschool groups and Private School Groups.

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS INCLUDE

How do astronauts get home safely from space? In this hands-on activity, junior engineers will work together to discover how the Orion capsule protects astronauts as they splash down to Earth by designing, building, and testing their own model capsule.

Through exploration of our immersive “Science of Flight” exhibit, junior aviators will learn how different types of aircraft fly using the four forces of flight. They will design, construct, and test a hoop glider to discover how an aircraft can fly without an engine.

After exploring the different types of aircraft featured in our museum collection on the museum tour, junior engineers will use their new knowledge to creatively collaborate in order to design, build, and demonstrate aircraft made out of recyclable materials.

Mini meterologists will have a fun hands-on experience with the museum’s wind tunnel where they will have a chance to experiment with the force of wind on different shaped objects. They will also learn about a tool called a windsock. Then, each person will design, construct, and test their own windsock to take home.
