Join us for a joyful morning of storytelling, imagination, and aviation-inspired play at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada. Please note; because the museum is closed for a private event on March 5th the Story time with a pilot session is moved to Thursday the 12th.

This March, Storytime with a Pilot features a real pilot reading Bearplane! by Deborah Underwood—a playful story about determination, creativity, and the dream of flight. Young visitors will explore the excitement of aviation through story, movement, and hands-on creativity in a welcoming museum setting.
Program activities include:
- Storytime: A live reading by a pilot, introducing children to the joy of aviation storytelling.
- Movement Activity – Control Tower Commands: Children become pilots as they taxi, take off, fly, and land through guided movement prompts that simulate real airport operations. March Story Time
- Creative Activity – Postcard Craft: Children design and decorate their own aviation-themed postcard to take home as a keepsake. March Story Time
Designed for early learners and families, Storytime with a Pilot blends literacy, imagination, movement, and STEM learning in a fun, accessible experience—set in the inspiring surroundings of Canada’s aviation heritage.
