MAY STUDENT AMBASSADOR INFO SESSION

May 23 @ 10:30 am 11:30 am

Volunteering at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada offers a meaningful opportunity to share your time and talents while helping preserve and celebrate Canada’s aviation heritage.
Volunteers play an important role in connecting visitors with the stories of the aircraft, innovators, and service personnel who shaped flight in our country.

For many, volunteering is a chance to give back to the community while supporting an organization that inspires curiosity and lifelong learning.
At the Museum, volunteers help welcome guests, assist with special events and school programs, and share knowledge that brings the history of aviation to life for visitors of all ages.

Volunteering also provides the opportunity to meet new people, develop new skills, and be part of a passionate community united by an interest in aviation, history, and education.
Whether you are a lifelong aviation enthusiast or simply looking for a rewarding way to contribute, volunteering offers a chance to stay active, learn something new, and make a positive impact.

By volunteering with the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada, you help ensure that the stories of Canada’s aviation pioneers—and the inspiration they provide—continue to reach future generations.

STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPTIONS

Students looking to earn volunteer credits will be excited to learn more about volunteer opportunities under the wings. This is a perfect opportunity for students looking to have fun in museum events, learning from senior volunteers, and getting involved in the community.

Student Ambassador Volunteers: students ages 16-24 years

Students can learn and join in our Student Ambassador Program to earn volunteer hours towards credits by helping the museum through the seasons. This program encourages more responsibility, relationship building, and extra opportunities to educate, inspire, and excite!

Why not! It’s a fun, easy way to gain experience, socialize with wonderful staff, volunteers, and guests, and a hands-on way to get closer to the artefacts you know and love. RAMWC is a popular volunteer program and there’s something for everybody!

Aside from building meaningful connections, establishing credit hours for students or volunteer programs, learning more about STEM careers and opportunities in this beautiful city, and giving back to the community, we also offer a volunteer discount in our LZB!

Volunteers are assigned to different stations to help run them and teach guests/children about the events! Sometimes this looks like: lending a hand in a hands-on activity station, ensuring safe play in an interactive area, teaching guests about exhibits and STEM, handing out treats during holiday events, and more!
