YOUNG ENGINEERS – August 29

School’s out, and your children can keep learning the best way they know how – through play! The Royal Aviation Museum is pleased to welcome the Young Engineers Winnipeg Southeast for biweekly summer sessions in the museum, where a new hands-on engineering activity will take young learners on a journey through aviation, mechanics, and creations that will leave them in awe. Pre-registration is required.

This was great! Way more than I even expected. Their was an indivudal kit for every child. the instructors were amazing. I didnt know each session was different. We will be back for every one!

About Young Engineers: Young Engineers was founded in 2008, operating engineering afterschool activities in over 100 countries. Their mission is to prepare students ages 4-15 for the changing demands of the 21st century workforce. With thousands of students around the world learning through interactive building programs, Young Engineers has been recognized by the Harvard School of Education and the European Union Commission for its hard work inspiring the next generation of STEM professionals.

There are two sessions, with 16 participants maximum per session. The morning session is from 11:00 am – 12:15 pm and is recommended for ages 6-12. The afternoon session is from 1:00 pm – 2:15 pm, and is recommended for ages 8-12.

Cancellations made 7 or more days in advance will receive a full refund. Cancellations made under 7 days may receive a partial refund. No-shows will not be eligible for a refund. 

Registration gives your child access to the Young Engineers programming session, where all materials will be provided. Once the program is over, your child has access to explore the museum. Please be aware that parking is not included in admission.

Each session is 75 minutes long, meaning your child will spend that time independenty learning and playing. Once the session is over, your child is free to explore and enjoy the museum. We require all minors to be accompanied by a parent or guardian while exploring the museum, so please be present for that time.

The package fees do not include parking fees – please be aware that our parking lot has an additional fee.

The Museum offers visitor parking in the lot adjacent to our building at 2088 Wellington Ave.

During particularly popular events, our parking lot may reach capacity. When this occurs, guests are welcome to use the nearby Winnipeg Airports Authority (WAA) Economy parking lot.

To access the WAA Economy lot, stay left on Wellington Avenue and continue past the 7-Eleven, where you can loop around and follow to the left to enter the WAA lot.

Please note that WAA parking rates apply.
